Dr David Tan was invited to Pulau Bukom on 11th April to give a talk to staff of Shell Singapore entitled “Cancer: No Longer a Death Sentence.”

To raise awareness, Dr Tan educated the audience on measures to prevent cancer such as minimizing lifestyle and environment risk factors and adopting healthy living habits; cancer screening programmes and genetic counselling for early detection of cancer; and advanced technologies to improve cure rates and minimize side effects of treatment.

Close to 100 employees were seen in attendance, in the hour of informative and lively exchange.
